Entry #25: Adams Morgan Weekend part dos

After recovering from the trauma of being lost in Adams Morgan the night before, I went back for more. This time with people from my grad program at AU.

We started the night at The Reef . The scene was really cool. Everyone migrated to the very top, where music was streamed in with current hits and a little old school hip hop. There was a lovely view of Adams Morgan, and the bartenders were friendly.

I would have been happy to stay there and soak up more of Adams Morgan, but our group decided to move onward to the U St. Corridor. I couldn't be happier that we did because 1) I located the Chi Cha Lounge, which I've heard about and have been wanting to find. 2) I was taken to Local 16, which was very very cool.

How to describe Local 16? Much like the posh home of a high school kid whose parents have left town for the weekend...a small group might have been invited over to the party but the WHOLE school showed up. I loved the decor, the music and the clientele.

So how did I end my Adams Morgan/U St. weekend? By making my very first visit to Ben's Chili Bowl. At Midnight. YUM!

I'll be heading back to all of the incredible places I got to see and can't wait to hit the Chi Cha Lounge.
